THE PROP ANODE AND ME

Well would you believe it , just as i was about to leave the boat yard on Friday Maryvonne who owns Nautiland ( its pronounced , naughtyland ) but trust me its not naughty , anyway she asked me if i would like to have Simo lifted out right now , i should explain that the original plan was for the 16th march ,, but i needed to get her out asap because there is so much to do ,, so i agreed and we got the crane man and out she came followed but a good pressure wash , she was not to bad and no sign of barnacle bill at all ,

new arial and deks ole for the mast

We managed to get the boat yard to take out the mast just over a week ago , and the prime object was to put the new vhf arial up the top of the mast , this then will lead to a splitter and feeds the new A.I.S also the fm radio and of course the VHS , dont ask me how it works cos ive not a clue any way , I just hope it all works when we get the mast back up . Over the last four years i have always used deksoljay oil on the mast , so a quick rub down and a couple of coats made it look stunning again , i gave the spreaders a couple of extra coats , and with a bit of luck it should last a couple of years or more , i think its wise to have the mast down every couple of years or at least go up in the chair to check all is ok .

THE VETERANO BRANDY

Well things are moving on a pace and over the last week we have done a few jobs in getting Simo ready , one of the first things was that i noticed that the bottles oVeterano brandy would not fit in the locker , so i got the jig saw out and made the holes a little bigger and hey presto we now have room for 4 bottles ,
